I named my van after the lovely man who sold it to me, he was called Ernie!
I am from Southern Scotland.
I’ve spent many years living in countries where English isn’t the first language and working with people from all over the world, so maybe my Scottish accent isn’t as strong as it used to be.
Aisling is pronounced “Ash-ling”. In Irish Gaelic, it means “dream”.
This is a hard question as there are so many beautiful and amazing places in Scotland and I haven’t been everywhere yet! However, so far my favourite place is probably Rackwick Beach on Orkney.
In my opinion, May-June or September. Scotland is nice to travel year-round but during these times you will benefit from the longer daylight hours so you can make the most of your days, most attractions and restaurants will be open for the season and you will avoid the summer crowds.
