Please take some time to read the following terms and conditions so that you fully understand what is required of you (The Client) and what you can expect from me (Ruth Aisling). By booking a trip with Ruth Aisling, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. If you have any questions about these terms please do not hesitate to contact me.
To secure your booking on any trip you must pay a deposit and you must pay the full balance of the trip by the dates mentioned on the payment plan. I reserve the right to cancel your reservation without refund, should you fail to pay the outstanding balance by the agreed date.
I guarantee not to increase the price of a trip once a booking has been received. Prices on the website are per person. Prices do not include travel before and after the trip.
This trip has a required minimum of participants to proceed. Please wait for confirmation from me that the group has reached the minimum number of participants before booking any travel or flights. If the trip doesn’t go ahead due to insufficient bookings, you will receive a full refund.
Payments made are non-refundable. Once you book a spot, I am required to pay upfront costs to confirm the trip. I understand that unexpected changes can happen, which is why all travellers should have travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may prevent participation. If you need to cancel your trip for any reason after booking you must inform me in writing as soon as possible, prior to the trip start date.
I will always try my best to avoid cancelling a package or trip. In the event of circumstances that force me to cancel a trip, you will receive a full refund. I will not be held liable for any additional expenses you incur through cancelling your trip e.g. travel expenses.
If there are circumstances beyond my control which cause me to cancel or change your trip such as war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, epidemic or pandemic disease or other circumstances that amount to force majeure, I will not refund or pay you any compensation or be liable for any other expenses to you.
I strongly recommend that you are adequately covered by your own travel insurance policy.
I will endeavour to provide a trip as closely resembling that described on this website or any other promotional material. Be aware that due to unforeseen circumstances, details of the trip may vary slightly however the overall quality of the trip will not be diminished. If there has to be changes made due to weather, ferry cancellations or road closures etc, my decision will be final.
I work with a range of accommodation and partners and cannot be held liable for any damages, losses or inconveniences resulting from them. I will always try to make sure these problems are minimal and will deal with any situations as they arise. Whilst you are staying with an accommodation provider you must agree to their terms and conditions.
All of my transport is provided by carefully selected third-party transport partners who are experienced and qualified to provide passenger transport. Whilst you are in the vehicle you must agree to the transport provider’s rules, terms and conditions. I cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to luggage whilst in transit. In the unlikely event of any damage you should report it to the driver as soon as it has been discovered.
If you are forced to return home early, I cannot refund the cost of any part of your trip which you have not used. If you cut short your trip and return home early in circumstances where you have no reasonable cause for complaint about the standard of the travel services provided, I will not offer you any refund for that part of your trip not completed or be liable for any associated costs you may incur. Depending on the circumstances, your travel insurance may offer cover for curtailment and it’s suggested that any claim is made directly with them.
Excursions or other arrangements that you may choose to book or pay for during your free time on the trip are not part of your contracted arrangements with me. For any excursion or other arrangement that you book, your contract will be with the operator of the excursion or arrangement and not with me. I am not responsible for the provision of the excursion or arrangement or for anything that happens during the course of its provision by the operator.
I have a duty of care to group participants but I am only liable up to the cost of your trip with me. I cannot be held responsible for damage and/or loss to your personal possessions. I am also not liable for failure to carry out the contract if the failure is due to the action of the participant or the action of a third party. I am also not liable for any theft of luggage or injury to you which occurs as a result of this group trip.
You must be physically fit enough to participate in the trip you have chosen. If you have to drop out of the trip you will be responsible for any travel arrangements or additional costs incurred.
You agree to act in a reasonable way for the duration of your trip. I reserve the right to remove any person from a trip whose behaviour is deemed by myself to be detrimental to the group, unsafe or adversely affecting the group’s enjoyment. I will not be liable to provide any refund in these circumstances.
You agree to arrive at all meeting points on time. You will personally be liable for any costs of catching up with the group if you are late.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are sufficiently fit and adequately equipped to partake in your chosen trip. You must tell me of any medical conditions, disabilities or dietary requirements at the time of booking. If you are not in a suitable condition to complete a trip or are under the influence of drink or drugs, you will be asked to leave the trip. I will not be liable for any extra expense incurred by this and you will not be able to claim a refund.
Should you have a problem or complaint on your trip you must bring it to my attention as soon as possible and I will try to rectify the problem. If you feel that the problem was not resolved and resulted in a much reduced enjoyment of the trip you must inform me in writing within 28 days and I will respond within 28 days to resolve the matter to the satisfaction of both parties.
Unless otherwise notified, you are restricted to one medium-sized suitcase with a maximum weight of 20kg (44lbs). You can also bring a small, lightweight bag for personal items to carry with you on the vehicle. If you need to bring additional luggage, please let me know in advance.
It is your responsibility to ensure that luggage is fit for travel, i.e sturdy and waterproof and you must be able to lift your luggage; and/or you may have to carry your bag to and from your accommodation.
I can only provide general information regarding entry, passport, visa, health and immigration requirements health formalities applicable to your group trip. It is your responsibility to check such requirements (in good time before departure), in order to make your decisions and/or fulfil such requirements and check any information regarding your destination or country(ies) through which you are travelling.
Such information which you may need to check includes (but is not limited to) passport requirements including (but not limited to) how valid your passport must be after the return date. You must check requirements for your own specific circumstances with the relevant bodies as applicable.
Accommodation ratings are displayed as provided by the relevant supplier. These are intended to give a guide to the services and facilities you should expect from your accommodation or other elements which make up your bespoke tour. Standards and ratings may vary between countries, as well as between suppliers. I cannot guarantee the accuracy of any ratings given and no warranty is given or implied.
I will not pass on your personal details to any third party except for the purposes of organising your trip.
